Appendix B. Weighted linear least-squares regression coefficients between air-sea O2 anomalies (D[O2], µmol kg-1) and heat flux monthly anomalies ([DQ]sea, Watt m-2) in 10° latitudinal bands covering the entire ice-free world ocean. The regressions are of the form D[O2]= (b0 ± s0) + (b1 ± s1)[DQ]sea; where b0 and b1 represent the intercept and slope of the regressions and s0 and s1 are the standard error of the b0 and b1 coefficients. The regression uses as weights the standard error of the (D[O2] data binned in DQsea increments of 50 Watt m-2. The r and r2 values represent the linear correlation and determination coefficients of the regressions.
